It provides powerful APIs for uploading, retrieving, managing data and storage, at any time, from anywhere on the Internet. How does IDrive EVS secure my data?
IDrive EVS protects your data by using 256 - bit AES encryption for transfers and storage with a user defined key that is not listed anywhere on our servers. This ensures data is safe and secure.
How do I create an encryption key for my IDrive account?
Use the Configure Account API to set the private or default encryption key for your account after Sign up.
If you opt for the default encryption key then IDrive EVS will set an encryption key to encrypt all your data.
WARNING :- IDrive EVS does not store your private encryption key on its servers. It uses a special technique to encrypt your private encryption key that can only be used to verify, but not retrieve it. It is recommended that you archive it safely. Without your private encryption key, you will NOT be able to retrieve your data. We will not be able to provide the private encryption key information. Does IDrive EVS support file versioning?
